TSI Conference… Kuala Lumpur 2016

“All Systems Are Go!” as TSI Malaysia Host Global Partners in Kuala Lumpur

August, 2016

TSI’s Global Conference took place last week in Kuala Lumpur under the theme “All Systems Are Go!” acknowledging substantial central investments in systems, technology and solutions over the last 12 months.

The event celebrated among other things; a refreshed TSI brand, a new website, investment in global technologies and a suite of client facing collateral that fully reflects the world class service of TSI and its partners.

Our recently re-launched internal Extranet and new global project management tool were also shown, reinforcing the systems and processes TSI has in place to seamlessly collaborate between partners globally. The event also saw the launch of group-wide initiatives, from a user-friendly Strategic Guide to Developing a Duty of Care Policy & Program for Travel Managers, to our New Mobile Platform. With speakers that included Cyber-Security specialists Broadgate Consultants, Mobile Developers and Malaysia Airlines CEO Christoph Mueller – the event provided a forum for senior personnel from partners in over 35 countries to engage face-to-face and to influence TSI’s future direction.

Convening at TSI Malaysia’s parent company’s Hotel Istana, a stones throw from the Petronas Towers, TSI delegates celebrated  the past 12 months as a period of foundation laying for a bright future. TSI Chairman Craig Stein followed on, summarising the past year’s growth, both in terms of service and technology provision, and the resultant business development and increase in opportunities. Craig also showed how, in the past 9 years, TSI has grown from a fledgling network, then into a niche partnership, and in recent years into a global brand in its own right, outlining the challenges that need to be overcome to continue this development arc into our coming tenth year.

Speakers included charismatic “turnaround specialist” Cristoph Mueller; who spoke at length on the subject of change management in the airline and travel industries and gave incredible insight into the challenges faced by Malaysia airlines and the wider industry going forward, and cyber security expert Richard Gale from Broadgate Consultants, presenting on the subject of Cyber Security for Travel Businesses & Companies, who highlighted the risks to personal and company data and the importance of vigilance when travelling, a highly relevant subject which sparked much debate and discussion.

Special thanks go to TSI Malaysia, our sponsors and all the delegates who attended for making this year’s event extraordinary. Here’s to another successful year for TSI!
