Bine Ați Venit to the New TSI Romania!

September, 2015

Raluca Gavrilescu, Chief Executive of Central Travel, Bucharest, joined TSI Executives from across the world at the TSI annual conference on the 19th June held in central Berlin. Raluca’s team have recently launched as the new TSI Romania.

Welcoming Raluca to the conference, Paul Spencer, Head of International Sales for TSI stated that “Many of our global clients have invested in Central and Eastern Europe, and TSI needed a solid, highly experienced partner who was geographically placed at the cross roads of the EU, CIS and Middle Eastern markets. When we reviewed Romania’s ability to ride the European economic crisis and to show a positive trajectory for both investment and development, we placed it – and Bucharest – at the top of our CE location wish list. Our task was then to find a partner who could meet TSI’s selection criteria. Central Travel quickly emerged as the obvious choice.”

Raluca highlighted the synergies that had been clear from the outset of her engagement with TSI and commented on the Berlin Conference:

“The chance to engage with other CEOs who share, like us, a genuine and passionate commitment to service made TSI different from other global TMCs (Travel Management Companies).”

“It had been clear from our first meeting that TSI’s collaboration platform would give us access to a proven global travel management solution that combined cutting edge technology with high-touch personal service. In Berlin, I saw how TSI had delivered a global mobile App for a global client (in over 100 countries) that could revolutionise the sector – developed and deployed across TSI in less than 30 days. In Berlin, I also attended presentations on global procurement trends, data consolidation solutions and, with my new colleagues, exchanged ideas and best practice across a range of topical issues – from Lufthansa’s DCC initiative through to the latest solutions in Traveller Security. These were all examples of TSI’s responsiveness, technological expertise and sector expertise – and the competitive edge that will help us deliver lower costs to our own clients as well as expand our business to a wider regional and global audience.”

“We’re delighted to be TSI’s newest partner and to be able to represent Romania on the world stage!” declared Raluca.
